Annual Report

Vyasa Vidya Bhavan Senior Secondary School was established in 1995 to ensure children’s overall development in a scenic environment. It is the result of the tireless effort and dedicated action of the members of the Kerala Schools Academic Council (KSAC). Along with academic excellence, this school has every opportunity to develop the all round potential of the children. The mission of the school is to provide qualitative education to our children at an affordable cost, incorporating the latest trends and developments in the field of education. Our children need to be trained to deal directly with the challenges in their life. They should have the opportunity to develop their skills in a happy and creative environment.

The academic year 2023-24 commenced on 1st June 2023. The students were given warm welcome in the presence of PTA President Sri P.Prakash, other PTA members, KSAC President Sri B.R Sreedharan Nair, Vice President Sri C.Venkitachalam, Treasurer Sri V. Radhakrishnan Nair, School Manager Sri M.Venugopal and other KSAC members.

The first general body meeting of the Parent Teacher Association was held on 15th July 2023 and a 15 member committee was formed. Sri P.Prakash was elected as President of the committee. We received many valuable suggestions from the committee members. We would like to express our gratitude to them.

Academic Performances and Activities

We got 100% result in the 2022-23 CBSE Class X Board Examination. Nandakishore M.S bagged first position with 96%. All most all students of our school scored above 80% of marks. PTA conducted a meeting to felicitate the winners. Smt. A.Valsalakumari, President, Malayinkeezhu Grama Panchayat inaugurated the function in the presence of Malayinkeezhu Grama Panchayat ward members Sri K.Prasanna Kumar, Sri R.Rejith and PTA President Sri P.Prakash. Mementos were given to winners.

Special classes are being conducted for students of class X from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM everyday. Experts classes of Sri P.Sukumaran Nair, Sri S. Jawahar Nath, Sri V.Radhakrishnan Nair and Sri K.Sureshkumar were also provided for our children. We also express our gratitude to them. Special care has been given for students with special needs of all classes. Continous and Comprehensive Assessment and Evaluation of students are being conducted and the results have been communicated to the parents at Class PTA. The Model Examination are also being conducted to equip our students fully for the CBSE Board Examination. Regular Psychological support from counsellors is also ensured. Sessions on Career Guidance were also held. Classes were taken by Smt Liza.M (Employment Officer, Neyyattinkara), Smt Aswathy F.S (Psychologist and Counsellor) and Smt Krishna Priya M.S (Psychologist, Govt. College, Nedumangad).

Celebrations

Festivals and days of special importance are being celebrated with due regard and enthusiasm. Entry Fest, Environment Day, Reading Day, Independance Day, Hindi Day, Teachers’ Day, Gandhi Jayanthi, National Unity Day, Kerala Piravi, Gurupoornima, Yoga Day, Onam, Pooja and Christmas Celebrations are some of them. Mass Yoga, Marchpast and Mass Drill, various competitions, performing arts, exhibitions etc. were part of these celebrations. Certificates of various competitions and exhibitions were distributed on the part of Republic day celebtrations.

School Annual Day was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm on 27 the January 2024. Presidential Address was made by Sri B.R.Sreedharan Nair, President, KSAC. Smt A.Valsalakumari, President, Malayinkeezhu Grama Panchayat inaugurated the function and Keynote Address was made by Dr.Suma.S, Principal, M.M.S Govt. Arts and Science College, Malayinkeezhu. Felicitation speeches were made by Sri K.Prasannakumar and Sri R.Rejith, Members, Malayinkeezhu Grama Panchayat, Sri Chandrasenan Mithirmala, Writer and Magician, and Sri P.Prakash, President, PTA. The day was also marked by excellent artistic performances of children.

Co-Curricular Activities

Co-curricular activities play an important role in the creative development of students. Literary Fest was conducted on 5th to 8th of August 2023. Arts Festival was on 14th and 15th of September 202 which was inaugurated by famous T.V Serial Director Sri Sajith S.G Nair in the presence of Sri Ooruttambalam Balakrishnan, Poet and Lyricist. Sports Meet of the school was conducted on 23rd and 24th of November 2023. Kids Fest for our KG Section was conducted on 1st December 2023. These were noted for the varied and excellent performance of the children.

Exhibitions related to Science, Social Science, Mathematics and SUPW were held along with Food Fest on 17th November 2023. Our students done a great work in this regard. Students are congratulated and the support on the part of parents are remembered with gratitude. All the students participated are given certificates also.

Student-Teacher Day was observed on 10th November 2023. Students of class X took classes on Peer Tutoring mode. Children’s day was specially marked with the various performances of students. Colour day observed by KG Students was marvelous and enchanting.

A programme named ‘Vayana Vasantham’ was launched in the previous academic year. It is a programme to promote reading habit of students. Here children not only read books but also make reading notes about the texts they read. In this way, the reading notes prepared by the children are being released here in 3 volumes. Another programme named ‘Quiz Masters through Quiz Club’ is also launched. Many club activities are also being conducted to nurture the inherent talents in students and to channelize them in proper and fruitful manner. Study Tour programmes were also organized for students from KG to class X.

Special classes are going on for Yoga, Drawing, Dance and Karate. Children are showing remarkable performances in them.

Achievements

Along with academic performances, our children achieve prestigious achievements in many competitions and events. Sreenidhi A.J of Class VI secured first rank in the Sugama Hindi Pareeksha conducted by Kerala Hindi Prachar Sabha. She also got second prize in Elocution Hindi competition of Bharath Sahodaya. Ameya A.P of class II got first prize in Malayalam recitation, Gowri Nanda A.S of class VII got third prize in Malayalam Essay Writing, Adhipan A.D of Class I got third prize in Solo Song, Aarushi N.S of class I got third prize in Hindi recitation, Dekshina B Nair of Class I got third prize in Folkdance, Dona L.B of class VII got third prize in Mono Act, Vishnu Babu of class X got second prize in Folkdance, Krishna Babu of class VIII got third prize in Folkdance, Sabari Krishna.K, Abhishek S.R, Rohit.R, Adish.A, Adarsh D.V, Aryan B Iyer, Athul Subash of class VII got third prize in Mime of the Bharath Sahodaya interschool competitions. Adithyan A.D of class VII is honoured for his performance in the filed of agriculture by the Deaprtment of Agriculture development. Akshay A.V got first prize in the National Level Karate Championship. Gowrinanda of class VII got Gold Medal, Vihan R of class IV got Silver Medal and Threetha P.K of class VI got Bronze Medal in Open Karate Championship. Aswanth B of UKG got Third Prize in Malayalam Story Telling competition conducted by Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam Study Centre.

Teacher Empowerment Programmes

Teachers are enriched with in-service training to cope with the new transactional strategies and trends in education. They also attended teacher empowerment programme conducted by CBSE at different venues.
